At the end of July, I shot a video for the new single, “The Humbugs,” with photographer Chris Martin, and ballerina Gillian George. The video was shot in a warehouse in the fashion district in Downtown LA. Gillian choreographed a beautiful routine for the song. Chris shot the video on a Canon 5D Mark IV. We are editing it and have it scheduled to come out in September. Can’t wait to show it to you!
I was THRILLED to be involved in this project. A fellow singer/songwriter, Kristen Toedtman, was commissioned to write a piece for the hEarth project by Lita Albuquerque. It premiered at Sunnylands near Palm Springs, CA. The project was modern, creative, and very artsy. These are some of the best singers in Los Angeles.

In May, I had the supreme pleasure and honor to sing on the score of “Suicide Squad.” This is my first time singing on a film score. It was amazing and a dream come true.
It was a full day session at Warner Brothers Eastwood Scoring Stage on the Warner Brothers lot. The composer of the film is Steven Price who also scored the Sandra Bullock movie, Gravity. There were about 30 other singers on the call (SATB). I was standing […]
It’s almost the end of the year! I hope your 2015 has been a year of joy, laughter, love, and health. This year has gone so fast, but I’ve been incredibly blessed. Here are some highlights.
Children’s Book Published:
For three years, my friend, Kristyn Dors, and I worked on a children’s book called “I Love My Amazing Body.” Our mission was to create a book about loving and appreciating the body. We did it completely independent of a publisher or agent, […]
It has been a very exciting past few weeks. Over the last year, I’ve been working on being more active in session singing. Last week, I was blessed to be part of the back up choir for the Fox White Hot Holidays Special with Patti Labelle, John Legend, Wil.i.am, and Mary J Blige. It was hosted by the cast of the television series Empire including Terrance Howard, Taraji Henson, and Jesse Smollett.
We filmed over two days in Pasadena with the […]
It’s happened. My book, I Love My Amazing Body, is done and printed and coming out in a month!
I Love My Amazing Body is a children’s book encouraging confidence and body appreciation.
The book is about a spunky little girl named Jackie. Jackie takes the reader through each body part describing all the things she loves to do with her amazing body. With her fingers she loves to play piano. With her hips she loves to hula hoop. With her arms […]
As many of you know, there was a time a few years ago that I was releasing a lot of cover songs. Most of them were acoustic versions with piano and vocal. I would record them myself and a friend would release them. For me there were two reasons to do this, one was for increased exposure and the other was consistent releases without the pressure of going into a studio to do a fully produced album.
One of my cover […]
I’m so excited to share this with you. For the past three years, a friend (Kristyn Dors) and I have been working on a children’s book called, “I Love My Amazing Body.” We finished it this spring and have a Kickstarter going on until July 15th for hard cover copies. For those of you that aren’t familiar with Kickstarter, it is a crowdfunding website for creative projects. Our Kickstarter is specifically for first-edition hard cover copies of the book.
This is for all the musicians out there who are trying to figure out who is the best distributor for their music. I looked into distrokid before I signed up, but didn’t find any reviews.
Having used distrokid for almost a year, here are the good and the bad of what I’ve experienced.
Inexpensive ($20, $35, or $80 per year depending on how many artists you have). This is great if you release often.
Easy to upload (they have a one page […]
This blog is for the dreamers and those who are following their heart. (So, hopefully you.). I heard someone say years ago that if you have the desire to create, do, or share something, as a universal law, there is someone to receive it. He said that for every gift there is a recipient (even if you don’t know who will receive it). One does not exist without the other. These statements stuck with me. If nothing else, they made […]
